Hello! I am Kristina Kroot and I’ve enjoyed a 12-year career as a marketing communications strategist for various companies including Nikon, Anheuser-Busch and Altice USA, as well as as a professional photographer growing my own business. Now, I’m excited to pivot my career and utilize my creative skills in mental health. I am interested in researching and working with children and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, and other forms of distress, the impact risk and protective factors have, and the potential effects on development. I'm also interested in researching how social & envrionmental factors, specificaly the current COVID-19 pandemic, as well as technology and nature, affect and influence the developing child. Lastly, I'm interested in digital mental health and how it can help make mental health care more accessible and affordable.
