About
I am a Clinical Social Worker by training and Director of Higher Education and Student Engagement at The Jed Foundation (JED). I am part of JED’s higher education team that provides support and guidance to college campuses working to enhance mental health and lower the risks of substance use and suicide on campus. I am licensed to practice in state of Michigan, Illinois, and New York.
Prior to JED, I worked in a clinical position as a full-time counselor at Wayne State University's Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), where I provided brief counseling, support, and psychotherapy to college and graduate students. I was also a temporary therapist at Eastern Michigan University's Counseling & Psychological Services. There, I had the privilege of providing brief counseling, psychotherapy services, treatment, and crisis intervention to college students. My interests include: management of depression, anxiety, and stress, helping students with career building and exploration, self-esteem issues, transitions, adjustment to college, and working with students to develop life skills. I hold a master's degree and school social worker certification from the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
